In 2004, artist Ron Petitt was commissioned to create a memorial to the 13* fallen officers of the Beaumont Texas Police Department. Ron was given complete artistic freedom in his design. Combining bronze, stainless steel and black granite. His copyrighted design is a truly unique tribute to the fallen officers, their families and those that continue to serve.
The Memorial was dedicated August 17 2005.

On April 18th 2008 Artist Ron Petitt, along with the assistance of Lt. mark Pierce and Capt. David Travis installed three new badges on the Beaumont Police Officers Memorial.
